Hi there! :)

Full body selfie of Audra M. Deemer taken in the reflection of the "Heart Pavilion" sculpture at the Carnegie Museum with other artworks in the background.

Me @ the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh in 2019, reflection in Dan Graham's "Heart Pavilion."

I'm Audra M. Deemer (she, her, Ms.) and I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA where I earned my MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh and my B.A. (in Media Arts) from Chatham College for Women.

Currently I'm the Head of Acquisitions and Collections for the Library of the largest Catholic university in the U.S. (DePaul University in Chicago, IL). I manage a $4+ million materials budget and negotiate with vendors on pricing and equitable license terms in order to ensure research resources are rapidly accessible for our library users.

In my free time I enjoy a number of hobbies, like hanging out with my dogs, sewing (especially with knits), cross stitch, baking, reading, learning ASL, and collecting records, memorabilia and author-signed books. See some of my projects on the Craft pages of this website. Peace!
