Assisting in the preparation and allocation assignments of library materials funds; managing and monitoring the spending of the Library’s $4+ million materials budget.

Overseeing purchases of library materials including print and electronic, firm orders and continuing resources. Constantly exploring options for new electronic content and services. 

Fostering and maintaining effective vendor relations, negotiating pricing, and monitoring new resources and services opportunities.

Negotiating with vendors on license agreements and terms and conditions. Developed a licensing review checklist, a general model license, and a model license specifically for DVD and streaming media files purchases.

Tracking pricing and inflation rates, renewal dates, updates to entitlements, changes to formats, and services for electronic resources.

Compiling and assessing usage statistics and collaborating with other Library departments to improve user experience in accessing and using collections in all formats.

Leading a team of four professional staff members.

Participating in committees and working groups related to the management of electronic resources, collection development, the Library strategic plan, engagement and support of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility efforts of the Library, and position search committees.

Collection development, purchasing of library materials and budget management for up to 50 campus libraries with $400,000+ in annual spend. 

Managed Demand-Driven Acquisitions (DDA) profiles to support academic programs.

Built the Ai online library website on Springshare’s LibGuides Content Management System (CMS) utilizing the Bootstrap framework and customizing with HTML and CSS. 

Set up the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) for The Art Institutes (and Brown Mackie Colleges) and performed ongoing maintenance including working with EBSCO to create access points for new resources.

Co-wrote and edited library policy and procedure documentation and other official communications.  

Tracked monthly usage statistics of databases and maintained campus libraries statistics.

Provided remote reference and technical support to campus and online library users via phone, email, and chat.

Presented monthly 2-4 live webinars to library users on electronic resources.

Designed and presented more than 90 webinars on library resources, research, and information literacy topics for students and faculty. 

Presented in person on library resources during Argosy University Doctoral Residency Programs held six times per year.

Served as system administrator for all electronic library resources including ProQuest and EBSCOhost databases and discovery systems.

Assisted with instructional design and curriculum development projects for online courses.

Provided reference and instruction services by phone, email, and web-conferencing tools to campus and online library users.
